Biography

Francesca Locicero is a certified personal trainer, fitness instructor, consultant, wife, and mother.  She is certified by the American College of Sports and Medicine with special certifications in back, knee, and core strengthening.  She specializes in weight loss, core and balance strength training, marathon training, triathlons, duathlons, long distance bike training, and overall health and body wellness.

Her experience as a personal trainer is extensive; she has clients from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life.  She has trained clients including triathletes, high school and college student athletes, kids, seniors, cancer patients, police men and women, firefighters, and the average person looking to get fit and healthy.  No fitness goal is too big or too small. 

She has taught many different classes, including but not limited to: bootcamp, kickboxing, aerobics, stretching, weightlifting, stability ball, and strength training over her 20 year long career as an instructor.  All classes generate many participants, with classes as large as 75 people. 

Francesca has completed The Tough Mudder, The Harbor House 400 Mile bike ride numerous times, half marathons, and duathlons in addition to her daily workout regimen. 

She has also worked with hundreds of people through her successful ongoing Transform Your Body Contest, where she helps contestants to maintain a positive change in their minds, bodies, and health.  In addition to the contests she runs each year, she offers motivational talks and seminars in exercise and nutrition to help participants stay informed, on track, and in shape.  

 

I trained with Francesca for about 10 years. She was always motivating me to work harder and always made sure my form was correct so I could avoid injury. I’ve been in the fitness industry and personal training business for the past 20 years. I have decided to not only stick with that but to expand my scope even further.  Over the years I have seen that it not only takes motivation to exercise and eat right, but a more in-depth  change to our habits, so I set out on a new professional path that feels very right, clear, and obvious – it’s this journey I’d like to share  with you.

Over the years, I’ve been discovering how to help people who are stressed out, busy professionals transform their bodies….and their lives. After years of passionate research in psychology, nutrition, and optimal performance, I’ve realized that it’s time to turn this passion into practical knowledge for the real world -- AKA skills you can use in your everyday life that help you lose weight, gain energy, and transform your body!

So… I’m officially launching myself not only as a Personal Trainer, but as a Healthy and Fit Health Coach.

Here’s what a Health Coach is….                               

 With the relentless demands of work and life responsibilities, what men and women are trying to do is not only transform their bodies but also to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle. Not only are we trying to stay OUT of the doctor’s office  we’re looking for something greater. Habit changing lifestyles that are permanent for our bodies and our minds!!

Sometimes we don’t know what to do to change our bodies or our health, but more often it’s that we’re stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out of it. Most all of our behavior occurs out of habit, either unconsciously or in reaction to external demands.

 That’s why we struggle to make changes that last. Even when the need for change is obvious and our intentions are strong, we often fall short.

That’s a problem, and all the diet industry can offer is “Eat fewer calories and exercise more.” If it was that simple, it would’ve worked.  We need to change our outlook and thinking process first.

Did you know that 98% of all dieters gain the weight back? And that the average person makes the same New Year’s resolution ten separate times without success? Why is that?Because they don’t have support or accountability.

Doctors, dietitians and other practitioners either don’t have the time or the skills to help people stay motivated and follow through to get a lasting result.
